Thank you for joining me on this journey through the 11 Quantum Leap Readiness Principles necessary to for a healthy business to not only become sustainable but to continue to grow and evolve!

In this episode, we’re going to consider Quantum Leap Principle #9: Discipline ~ Focused Desire

Discipline with Focused Desire

You have a desire to make a difference through your service to others.

What is your level of focus? How disciplined are you in your efforts to reach the people you are meant to serve? You may have the highest intentions to serve for their greatest good but how will they know you are the best provider for them?

In order to create maximum impact for your clients and yourself, you will need to discipline yourself to maintain your attention on who you serve and how to help them find you.

Out in the wild, it is imperative that horse families stick together. Every member of the herd always knows where the lead mare is at all times. If one of the herd members drifts away, an elder sentinel will go after them and nip them in the butt to remind them to pay attention and stay with the herd. Stragglers attract predators!

You are the lead mare in your business and your messaging is the elder herd member helping your clients and potential clients know where you are and that they are safer nearer to you than out in the wild on their own!

Disciplined, consistent messaging is one of your greatest attributes for maintaining focused, congruent action so your potential herd members can find you!

  • What is your heart’s desire for your business?
  • How much income would you like to be generating on a monthly basis?
  • How many hours per week would like to be working?
  • Who would you like to be serving and helping them through their own personal transformation?

If you are trying to be all things to all people then no-one, in particular, will resonate with your message.

If you are offering too many options to work with you, it’s unlikely that people will choose anything because they don’t know what they don’t know. They need you to clearly illustrate how you can help them solve their problem or dilemma.

It takes focused discipline and consistent messaging to build confidence in your potential clients.

If you listened to episode #1 of this series you heard me mention that ‘how we do anything, is how we do everything’. Notice if you are someone who is frequently multi-tasking. You may be handling many things at once, but you are doing so with fractured focus. If you are attempting to be all things to all people, you are likely experiencing fractured results.

Maybe you’ve been experiencing the feast or famine roller-coaster. Some good months, some terrible months. Maybe you’re making ends meet but working way more hours than you can keep up with for too much longer. Maybe you’re just starting and not sure how to build a business at all.

If you have been experiencing fractured results and not able to generate a sustainable income, then it’s time to get clear, focused and disciplined on implementing the right activities for the right people who need your service!
