COACH CRUISER Blue

Listen Here:

This series, “Horse Sense for Humans”, is straight from the horse’s mouth (translated by me!) You’ll get to meet some of my equine team as well as some other horses I’ve worked with over the years as they share some of their client experiences from their point of view!

I hope you enjoy!

“Connection, Direction and Remember to Look Up!”

Hello, it’s Coach Cruiser,

There is a large man taking the lead rope now. He’s pulling the rope and looking at me. I don’t trust that he knows where he is going.

I take a few steps forward to get some relief from the pressure on my head, he was is very strong. The man turns around and starts walking, I go with him. He is walking slowly and looking at the ground. There is lots of grass here on the ground, I think I’ll eat some!

The man is talking to me now. He doesn’t seem to realize that I cannot understand his words. So, I choose to keep eating grass. He pulls on my head again until I walk with him. Again he is walking slowly and looking at the ground. I don’t know where we are going or why.

Why is he so focused on the ground? All I see is grass.

I think I’ll eat some!

Here we go with the pulling again… I hear Coach Schelli speaking now, the man is listening and begins to laugh. I feel his whole body shift and he stops pulling on my head.  He pats my neck, looks straight ahead toward a cone at the other end of the paddock. I can feel a surge of energy and direction as we walk off together, side by side.

When we get back Coach Schelli asks, “What did you learn from that experience?” I hear the man say, “Be clear on where I am going and be in connection with those I invite to go with me. Oh, and remember to look up!”

I don’t have a clue what those words mean but the humans laugh again. And the grass here is delicious, I think I’ll eat some!
