“It's Not Personal”

Hi, I’m Coach Fancy,

There are 7 of us in our stalls. A group of people has come in to meet us. 

There’s a woman with a hat pulled down near her eyes that’s come to stand in front of me. Her whole body is a bit ‘twitchy’. When I look her in the eye I feel her heart space expand. A little wave of happy washes over her. That feels nice.

Some squawking geese are making a commotion right outside my window. I turn around to see what is going on. Just a couple of noisy ganders battling over access to our pond.

The energy behind me suddenly feels cold. I turn to see the woman’s face is clouded over with disappointment. I try to catch her eye again, but she just looks down at the ground.

I snort and shake my head. 

The dramatic change in energy is a bit unsettling. Why do humans take everything so personally? Just because I turned to look out the window doesn’t mean I don’t like you.
